New Syncretism single: “Experience Time”

The track ‘Experience Time‘ is a retrospective tribute by members Dave Scotland and Peter Koppes to their favourite influencers Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon.
It was born out of a desire to explore the famous Dominant 7#9 ‘Hendrix’ chord featured in several hits by The Beatles and elsewhere such as the psychedelic instrumental section of the iconic 1960’s track ‘Born To be Wild’.
Peter had playfully challenged Dave to write a chord progression using three of these chords, which is the same number as ‘Voodoo Chile’ and almost irreverently Dave used them for all seven chords of the song!
The experiment was particularly exciting for Peter due to the chord not having had an identified musical scale until Peter had published one on his reference album ‘Music Evolution Therapy’ (video link).
So now was the opportunity to explore its worth.
He had also published it on his guitar scale tutoring website ‘Guitar Modal Harmony‘ and its YouTube channel.
Unprecedented also for Syncretism is most of the lyrics were by Dave, and spontaneous confirming musings by Peter about the genius association of the psychotropic Hendrix Chord (which is impossibly both Major and Minor in character).
And the reflective lyrical subject matter combined perfectly for this tribute.
Experience it for yourself if you have not been experienced?
